SSGT LOUIS BONACASA MEMORIAL FUND, INC.

SSgt Louis Bonacasa Memorial Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by his wife, Deborah Bonacasa and the help of his family.  It is truly a team effort.  His foundation was established to create a charitable fund to be used for projects that honor his memory.  Louis, along with five other Airmen, lost their lives during outside-the-wire human intelligence missions in Bagram, Afghanistan on December 21, 2015 by a suicide bomber.  His daughter had just turned five and Christmas was only 4 days away.  

 

Although the Bonacasa family suffered a heavy loss, they were not alone.  They are truly grateful for the blessings and outpouring of support during this difficult journey.  The Holidays will always be bittersweet.  Somehow, in their unimaginable pain, they turned their grief into hope, strength, and purpose.  The organization carries on his mission by providing support to Veterans, Active Duty, Reservists, Gold Star/Blue Star families, and other families and children in need.
